Gymnastics Trip

Wednesday 18th June

We had such a fun day at the Waitakere Gymnastics Club in New Lynn!  There was lots of rolling, swinging, jumping and balancing. Ms Boyd is proud of everyone for giving all the equipment a go!  

A big thank you to all the parents who helped on the day, especially Jordan's Mum, Ella's Mum, Aarav's Mum and Ashton's Nana xx

Ronald McDonald visit to school

On Wednesday Ronald McDonald came to talk to us about Road Safety. 

Ronald's sock blew off the line, so he decided to go and find it

He decided to leave his car at home and walk to look for his sock

Ronald had to stop at this sneaky driveway before crossing

Ronald came up to a pedestrian crossing.  Some of us call it a zebra crossing because it has stripes like a zebra

At Western Heights we have responsible Road Patrol monitors that use a sign like this to help us cross our crossing

"signs out, check, cross now"

We joined in with Ronald to sing some road safety songs

On Monday 9th June Jordan turned 6.   He surprised us with a birthday morning tea of cupcake ice cream cones and a rainbow cake with lego!
Room 2 had ICT with the Ipads today, what a fun way to spend your birthday at school!

Then on Tuesday 10th June Hazel turned 6.  She surprised us with a beautiful strawberry cake for afternoon tea.
