Mr Maindonald's gift

On Friday Mr Maindonald came to our class and gave each of us a Love to Learn to Lead band. He shook our hand as he put the band on us, and said we were part of the of the Western Heights School family.
THANK YOU Mr Maindonald for our lovely gift! In our class we LOVE to LEARN to LEAD! 
(it won't fall off if we wear it around our ankle!)

 

 

 

Measure Me Up!

This term we are learning about measurement. We can find out

how tall or short someone or something is.

Here we are having fun measuring our buddy class using non standard measurement (glue sticks, cubes, vivids, ice block sticks, rods)

 

 

 

ICT day with Mr McLay

On Friday we had ICT with Mr McLay. Most of us have an ipad at home, so we were familiar with using them. We got to play a few games at the end of the day. One of the coolest things was taking photos... and well you can see what we did with them. They are super!

West Lynn Garden

On Wednesday we went on a trip to West Lynn Garden.
We got to look inside the exiting butterfly house

and this is what we found...

We then went on a nature walk and explored the gardens 

 

 

along the way we sketched some trees and leaves

 

 

we also found a banana tree

 

and some of us thought this was an apple tree

 

while others made a pizza - hope it's cheese flavour!







Learning through Play

Most of us said on our goal sheets that we wanted to play nicely with  our friends.
So when Ms Boyd said we could have a fun Friday afternoon, that's exactly what we did! We learnt to play nicely, share and help our friends. Even Jordan's Mum came to class and helped us.

We love our Buddy Class!

Each Friday after lunch we look forward to spending time with our buddies in Room 25.
Today we enjoyed reading a book to them.
